Usually after checking in the players will meet their coaches at an assigned area. In cases where a player has not picked up their jersey they can get it from their coaching staff at this time. Starting around 9:00AM all teams will be introduced and lineup along the Majors field. The Enfield Little League president usually says a few words followed by the national anthem and first pitch. Following the ceremony, the games and activities will start. Usually each team will get a chance to get onto the field and play a low key introductory 1 or 2 inning scrimmage.

Opening Day Activities
- Face painting, food, games, bounce house and more fun activities.
- Each year Enfield Little League and The Hartford Yard Goats host a Yard Goats game where players attending the game can take part in a pre-game parade. Tickets for this event are usually sold on opening day.
- Lots of Raffle Prizes...drawing will be at 12:30
- MLB pitch, hit, throw competition is usually run from 10-2. All players 7-14 are eligible to compete. Winners in each of the categories / age group move onto the sectionals. Sectional winners move onto play at an MLB stadium.
- ELL merchandise Sweatpants, Sweatshirts, Hats, T-shirts available to purchase or order at one of merchandise tents.
