Board Positions


The Enfield Little League Board Elections for '20-'21 was held on Nov 18, 2020.


Board of Directors

The management of the property and affairs of the local league shall be vested in the Board of Directors. The directors shall, upon election, immediately enter upon the performance of their duties and shall continue in office until their successors shall have been duly elected and qualified.

The board membership shall include the officers, including player agent, and a minimum of one manager and one volunteer umpire. (Only volunteer umpires may be elected to the board.) The number of managers and coaches including Minor League representation elected to the board shall not exceed a minority of the total board members. Every board member should have a copy of the Little League Rulebook with Operating Policies for reference to proper operating procedures and policies.

The Board of Directors shall have the power to appoint such standing and special committees as it shall determine by the constitution and to delegate such powers to them as the board shall deem advisable and which it may properly delegate.

The board may adopt such rules and regulations for the conduct of its meetings and the management of the league as it may deem proper.

The board shall have the power by a two-thirds vote of those present at any regular or special meeting to discipline, suspend or remove any director or officer or committee member of the league, subject to provisions of the constitution.

President (executive board)

Presides at league meetings and assumes full responsibility for the operation of the local league. The president receives all mail, supplies, and other communications from the Little League International. The president must see to it that league personnel is properly briefed on all phases of rules, regulations, and policies of Little League. The league president is the contact between the local organization and Little League International.

Vice President (executive board)

Presides in the absence of the president; works with other officers and committee members; is ex-official member of all committees and carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the President.

Director of Operations (executive board)

Presides in the absence of the president & or vice president; works with other officers and committee members; is ex-official member of all committees and carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the President.

Secretary (executive board)

Maintains a register of members and directors; records the minutes of meetings; is responsible for sending out notice of meetings, issues membership cards and maintains a record of league’s activities.

Treasurer (executive board)

Signs checks co-signed by another officer or director; dispenses league funds as approved by the Board of Directors; reports on the status of league funds; keeps local league books and financial records; prepares budgets and assumes the responsibility for all local league finances.

Player Agent

Conducts annual tryouts, and is in charge of player selection, assists president in checking birth records and eligibility of players; serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the local league and generally supervises and coordinates the transfer of players to or from the Minor Leagues according to provisions of the regulations of Little League.

Safety Officer

Coordinates all safety activities; ensures safety in player training; ensures safe playing conditions; coordinates reporting and prevention of injuries; solicits suggestions for making conditions safer; reports suggestions to Little League International through the league president and prepares the ASAP plan for submission to Little League International.

Umpire-in-Chief (U.I.C.)

Serves as coordinator of and advises the league President on the league umpire program; responsible for recommending umpires to the league President for appointment to the league umpire roster; recruiting and retaining volunteer umpires; establishing a league umpire training program consistent with Little League® guidelines; coordinating and assisting with conducting umpire clinics at league and district level; communicating rule changes to league umpires; scheduling league umpires for regular season games; evaluating league umpires using established guidelines to maintain program integrity; further continual improvement, and prepare league umpires for advancement to tournament levels; communicating with and providing updates to the District Umpire Consultant on the league umpire program, and attending Umpire Training programs at the District, State, Region, and/or Headquarters level.

League Information Officer

Sets up and manages league’s official website; sets up online registration and ensures the league rosters are uploaded to Little League; assigns online administrative rights to other local volunteers; encourages creation of team web sites to managers, coaches, and parents; ensures that league news and scores are updated online on a regular basis; collects, posts, and distributes important information on league activities including direct dissemination of fundraising and sponsor activities to Little League, the district, the public, league members, and the media; serves as primary contact person for Little League and Dick’s Team Sports HQ regarding optimizing use of the Internet for league administration and for distributing information to league members and to Little League International. Provides player, coach, and manager records to Little League International in electronic format.

Coaching Coordinator

Represents coaches/managers in league; presents a coach/ manager training budget to the board; gains the support and funds necessary to implement a league-wide training program; orders and distributes training materials to players, coaches and managers; coordinates mini-clinics as necessary; serves as the contact person for Little League and its manager-coach education. Receives and distributes coaching information from Little League International and distributes to all coaches and managers.

Sponsor Manager

Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations; collects and reviews sponsorship opportunities; and maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship.

Fundraising Manager

Solicits and secures local fundraising opportunities; organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities; coordinates participation in fundraising activities; and maintains records of monies secured through fundraising initiatives.

Concession Manager

Maintains the operation of concession facilities; organizes  the purchase of concession products; responsible for the management of the concession sales at league events; schedules volunteers to work the concession booth during league events; collects and reviews concession related offers including coupons, discounts, and bulk-purchasing opportunities; and organizes, tallies and keeps records of concession sales and purchases.

Marketing/Public Relations Manager

Oversees new player recruitment efforts; develops and maintains a league marketing plan focused on player recruitment and retention; oversees efforts to market new divisions of play and initiatives offered by the league; works with local media to promote the interests of Little League, and coordinates efforts to make the local Little League visible in the community year round.

Uniforms Manager

Responsible for ordering and distributing all uniforms for players and managers, including the regular season, all-stars and other post-season teams to Division Directors. Will need the quantities, sizes, and colors for each team. Include copies of team order sheets for each manager so they can distribute to team. Work directly with uniform provider. Get all the uniform lists from our database. Work with uniform provider on the colors according to what team we were outfitting. Use team names that have been used in the past for Teeball and Minors as provider may already have screens made from previous years. Get samples of styles and sizes from uniform provider to display at in-person registration. Work at registration helping parents select the shirt sizes for each player. Coordinates with the Sponsorship Officer to ensure correct team colors and sponsorship logos are used. Once shirts are in, contact each director to set up a date and time to pick up uniforms. Can have them pick up at your home or at the fields if you want. Order the All-Star uniforms once those teams are formed near the end of the season.

Communications/Information Manager

Develops written plans for organizational purposes and future use and board. Helps organize all data, communications, marketing etc. Works with President, Vice President, Director of Operations and League information officer to update players, fans and coaches via email and social media.

Scheduling Coordinator

Works with all directors to upload to ELL website and or create schedules for respective divisions. Coordinates with umpires at AAA and above levels for scheduling.

Equipment Manager

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all player equipment. Coordinates with the Vice Presidents of Baseball and Division Directors to receive all equipment bags back from the managers at the end of the season (or the end of all-star season).Maintains an inventory of all equipment in each bag to ensure that all equipment is returned and that equipment which has exceeded its life expectancy is replaced. Inspects all equipment, removing damaged, worn, or unsafe equipment, and replaces with new equipment. Orders all new equipment. Maintains inventory of reserve equipment. Prepares all equipment bags for distribution each new season with size appropriate equipment for each division. Provides scorebooks and pitch-count books to appropriate teams. Coordinates with the Vice Presidents of Baseball and Division Directors to make sure that all equipment bags are distributed to managers by/on draft day for each league.

Travel Warriors Coordinator

Works with President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball to coordinate ELL’s Warriors travel team baseball. Works with treasure to maintain budgets. Proposes travel schedule for tournaments and training. Helps facility teams and coaches at all playing levels that are available to fill.

T Ball Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator. Create teams and assign coaching staff. Order end of the year trophies/medals. Update division bylaws prior to start of year. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

Single A Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator. Create teams and assign coaching staff. Order end of the year trophies/medals. Update division bylaws prior to start of year. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

AA Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator may or may not include out of town play. Create teams and assign coaching staff. Works with JR umpires. Create single elimination playoffs random order for end of the year. Order end of the year playoff champion trophies and runner up metals. Update division bylaws prior to start of year. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

AAA Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator, may include attending scheduling meetings with out of town league (Scheduling meeting). Assign coaching’s and organize draft with head coaches to select teams. Update division bylaws prior to start of year or confirm league bylaws. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

Majors Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator, may include attending scheduling meetings with out of town league (Scheduling meeting). Assign coaching’s and organize draft with head coaches to select teams. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

50/70 Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator, may include attending scheduling meetings with out of town league (Scheduling meeting). Assign coaching’s and organize draft with head coaches to select teams. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.

Juniors Director

Create game schedules and or work with scheduling coordinator, may include attending scheduling meetings with out of town league (Scheduling meeting). Assign coaching’s and organize draft with head coaches to select teams. The Division Directors are responsible to run and organize their individual divisions (i.e. Jr., Major, Senior Minor, etc.) within Enfield Little League (ELL). All Division Directors work in conjunction with the President, Vice President & Director of Operations of Baseball.
