Evaluations are used for the Enfield Little League board of directors and coaching staff to best place your player in the division that they will benefit from the most. Evaluations are mandatory for all players 8-12 years old and optional for players 7 years old who are interested in trying out for Double A. In the event that a player cannot make evaluations we will work with you and take into account previous experience of the player. Staff will take into account your desires but ultimately it is a decision made by our player agents and president along with the Board of Directors.

  • Evaluations are generally held in the end of March
  • Evaluations are usually held at Enfield High School, indoors or outdoors on the turf depending on weather conditions.
  • Evaluations are usually broken up into 3 or 4 groups throughout the day by ages.  Older players first then younger players.
  • Teams are not formed until after evaluations have been completed. 
  • Players should come with their glove, bat, helmet, protective cup.

Players will check in immediately on arrival. A sponsor will be assigned to your play. The sponsor is usually a high school and / or legion player who donate their time to assist with evaluations. We generally have the players go through (4) stations where they will be evaluated by our staff. Once finished the sponsor will bring your player back to the front where you will be waiting. 

Always try to register your player as soon as registration opens up each year, so you see all notifications sent out.
